Mission
At StrongTower Counseling and Education our mission is to address the challenging issues of individuals, couples, and families within a therapeutic environment, specializing in Christian context, engaging in singular and group settings.
Goals
To provide practical application of therapeutic techniques for decision making, emotion modulation, enhancement of interpersonal skills, and adjustment in relational changes.
To provide evidence based sexual health information.
To provide accurate, current women's health education.
To provide information essential to navigation of the healthcare system.
Approach
My approach to therapy is rooted in empathy, and compassion, without judgment, acknowledging the multifaceted aspects of biological, social, environmental, psychological, and spiritual influences impacting our lives. I strive to create a safe and supportive space where individuals or couples feel comfortable exploring their thoughts and feelings as they develop the skills and tools necessary to flourish.

Services
Strong Tower Counseling and Education offers a variety of services including individual and couples counseling and therapy, Areas of care include depression, anxiety, trauma, and relationship issues, with a specialty in sex therapy.
Group education, workshops, and conference presentations are also available. Currently insurance is not accepted, however an itemized encounter form can be provided for possible reimbursement.
CHERYL CHEEK CARROLL DNP, CNM, PMHNP-BC, PMHCNS-BC, CST
Dr. Carroll is an expert in women’s health working as a certified nurse midwife and a Lamaze Childbirth Educator, she saw the need to better serve the women and families she cared for by furthering her education, becoming a board certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner and clinical nurse specialist.
This intersection of midwifery and mental health generated her specialty interest in sexual health. She is a AASECT certified sex therapist. With over thirty years’ experience, she provides counseling and therapy to adult individuals, couples, and families.
Her approach is holistic, honoring the interconnectedness of the body, mind, and spirit as we move from trauma to triumphs.
She also gives small and large group presentations related to women’s health, mental health, and sexual health.
